Prospect News is an independent publisher of newsletters covering the financial markets.

We aim to provide comprehensive and insightful coverage of the markets we report on.

Every day our team of reporters and editors talks to people in the markets, scours company announcements and watches court and regulatory filings to bring our readers first-hand knowledge and relevant, detailed news.

We opened for business in 2001 with two daily newsletters and have now grown to 12 publications, 11 daily and one weekly.

Prospect News is headquartered in lower Manhattan's financial district and has staff based across the United States, from Boston to Portland, Ore.

Cristal covers the investment-grade bond market for Prospect News. Previously, she was a business writer for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and has worked for a variety of other publications, including People magazine, Crain Communications, Inc.’s Business Insurance magazine and regional magazines and newspapers.
Paul Deckelman Paul Deckelman
Paul has been covering the high-yield bond market for Prospect News since we opened for business in 2001. Before that he covered junk bonds for BridgeNews and InDepth Bond News, and was a financial news writer and editor for Dow Jones, United Press International and CNBC. He also worked as a TV news writer, after starting out as a reporter and news director for several New York-area radio stations.
Jennifer Drey Jennifer Drey
Jennifer covers company conference calls for the Bond Market Weekly. She also writes about distressed debt for Prospect News. Jennifer has been a reporter for nine years and previously covered general news for a regional business journal in Washington state. Before that she was managing editor for a series of weekly newspapers in upstate New York.
Andrea Heisinger Andrea Heisinger
Andrea writes about the investment-grade bond market for Prospect News. Previously she worked for several years as a newspaper reporter. She has covered police and courts, local government, social services, arts and entertainment and general news for The Lewiston Tribune in Idaho and an alternative weekly.
Sheri Kasprzak Sheri Kasprzak
Sheri covers the municipal bond market for Prospect News. She has worked as a reporter for a variety of publications, both financial and mainstream, for the past 15 years. Before working on municipals, Sheri launched coverage of the PIPEs and structured products markets for Prospect News. She has previously worked for the Bond Buyer.
Rebecca Melvin Rebecca Melvin
Becky is Prospect News' convertibles reporter. She has covered various markets, including electricity, steel and stocks, and has written for The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Newswires, CNBC.com, the Caracas Daily Journal and several trade publications. Her favorite place to work is Prospect News, but second to that was writing headlines for the zipper in Times Square.
Christine Van Dusen Christine Van Dusen
Christine reports on emerging markets for Prospect News. She is an award-winning journalist who was written and edited for such publications as the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Agence France Press, Fodor's Travel, Publishers Weekly and Atlanta Magazine. She also has worked as a professor of journalism at Georgia College and State University.
